VIDAR class minelayer

HNOMS VIDAR (N52) is one of the VIDAR class of minelayers serving with the Norwegian Navy. VIDAR was alongside HMC Dockyard in Halifax during the summer of 1998 during MARCOT '98.

The aft port side. The aft 40mm gun is visible in the middle, along with the Mistral SAM launcher to the left. 
VIDAR from the stern. The hatches upon which her number are painted are used for laying mines. In the background are visible the 40mm gun and the Mistral SAM, as well as the twin funnels.
Another view of VIDAR's stern. The ship's RHIB (Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boat) is visible on the starboard side ahead of the funnel.
A view of the forward superstructure. The forward 40mm gun is just forward of the bridge.
