Surviving "All Gun" Warships

This is a list of surviving major warships from the "all gun" era, essentially up through the 1950's. The list includes battleships, monitors, cruisers, destroyers, destroyer escorts (frigates), and their age-of-sail equivalents, ships-of-the-line, frigates, and sloops-of-war. "All gun" ships later converted to missile armament are also included. The list does not include smaller craft of any era, whether "all gun" or not.

The list is divided into 4 sections:
Battleships and Ships Of The Line
Monitors and Coastal Ships
Gun Cruisers, Frigates, and Sloops
Destroyers and Destroyer Escorts

This list is created and maintained by Andrew Toppan. Last updated 20 April 2002, Version 2.1.
