Any of several species of plants, usually three-leaved, of the bean family.
The second Clover, a lighthouse tender, was taken over by the Navy at the start of World War I. Attached to the 9th, 10th and 11th Naval Districts, the tender continued lighthouse duty on the Great Lakes throughout the war. She was returned to the Lighthouse Service on 1 July 1919.
